Airport screening and security checks.

November 24, 2010

My trip to Israel was an eye opener and a great learning experience in many ways. I was questioned at length by one of El Al Airlines employees at great length, why me out of the hundred or so travellers I don’t know to this day. The young lady, in her early twenties, picked me out of the line and took me aside and began to question me about where I was going and why I was going to Israel. It was quite an experience to say the least, after serving the Lord for 30 years as a Baptist Pastor, longing to make this Holy Land trip, now taken out of the line of passengers and interrogated as though I was a criminal or terrorist. However, I must have passed her questions, because she then walked me to the front of the line and let me board the plane first. This was in Newark, NJ airport. We were still in my country, America. This was in the year 2000; now I know and understand why Israel has the safest airlines in the world. They didn’t scan me or search me or grope me, they just questioned me and allowed me to board the El Al plane for my ten day trip to the Holy Land. Thank God for this young lady and the airlines that has the best security in the world.
